Adekunle Gold tries something different with his new single “Kelegbe Megbe (Know Your Level)”.
Utilising jazzy horns and other live instrumentation, the production pays homage to the traditional sounds of Nigerian high life, serving as a departure from Adekunle’s previous work. The video itself is a vibrant affair — bursting with character, accentuating the best parts of the production in the process. It remains to be seen if Adenkunle Gold will stick to this sound, but if this song does anything it proves that this new direction provides a lot of room to explore.
